Been doing really good this past spring and summer.
I got laid off from my job last spring.
I decided to take time off until the Fall. I am taking courses to upgrade my
skills. I find
now that I was underevaluating myself, so now I can feel confident in updating
my resume.
Anyway, I haven't needed my inhaler for a couple weeks now. One year ago I was
using it
twice a day.
Usually I can tell when I wake up in the morning if I am going to get wheezy and
congested. I find that I can now take one antihistamine like Airius or some
other form of
Loratadine and that will get me past the wheeziiness and I won't get an asthma
attack, nor
need my inhaler.
I expect that being away from a workplace full of asthma triggers helps. So that
when I do
get back to work, I will be healthier and my lungs will be stronger and I will
be able to say
no to foods that I should not be eating.
Let's see what else. Overall health has been super. I am no longer getting
bizarre
infections like last year.
I did take a trip to Vegas last May and I got Norwalk Virus on the trip home,
but the worst
of it was over in 24 hours, plus another week to get my strength back. Everyone
was
freaking out and I was saying "THIS IS NOTHING COMPARED TO HAVING PNEUMONIA".
LOL
I'm sure you understand what I mean when you get sick now and it's like
WHATEVER.
YAWN. Bring me the Gravol, water and soup and see you in a week.
One of my friend's 2 year old daughter just got diagnosed with asthma. She is
being given
5 doses of steroids a day!
Can I say )(*(&$%#@@%^**I(&^! I feel so bad for that child. How old does one
have to be
before one starts taking their health back into their hands and saying I don't
want to take
a gazillion meds every day?
Anyway, I hope everyone else is doing well.
