The compound has been named "lactolycopene" which is lycopene bound with whey
proteins.

The question is: what is the point in simply lowering LDL cholesterol? If LDL
cholesterol is a marker for underlying inflammation does lycopene reduce the
inflammation or does it just magically lower LDL?

It seems like it might be worth ingesting tomato paste in any case as it can
protect skin against sun damage!
