One that jumps to mind in coffee, which has been shown to have very impressive
health
benefits.
Two points:
-Coffee is very high in antioxidants which probably explains the benefits
-Perhaps short burst increases in cortisol aren't all that harmful, it's the
chronicity that's
important.
-Perhaps some balancing factor (ex: increased dopamine production)
counterbalances some
of the effects of cortisol.
