I wanted to say thank you to everyone that replied. I did go see the
ET nurse and she said I was doing everything right. The gi doc ended
up carterizing the stoma but that didn't work. My son drains weird not
like anything they had seen before, anyhow that drain spot is
ulcerated and the bleeds were being caused because his liver crapped
out. We are praying for poop from the bottom as his ileostomy is not a
*complete* ostomy it is kind of half and half to the stoma and to the
butt. If this doesn't work he will need to be transplanted to stop the
bleeds. He has a high PELD score so we are praying for either of those
things to happen and quickly. Thanks again everyone that responded.
