Re: [The Ileostomy Group] New!

Thanks Tim & Larry for your welcome!

Tim, in response to your question...I have an extremely complicated
medical history, involving all sorts of respiratory problems, and
when I was admitted to hospital for surgery I had lost around 15kg
(33lbs). The doctors had me on TPN, which is a form of IV nutritional
supplements, and after surgery I had to stay on it for a while to
build me back up.

I absolutely definately recommend having the surgery laproscopically,
and if you can be out in 6 days - brilliant! But you'll be a bit sore
for a while, and I was told not to bend, twist or turn for a few
weeks. I've now been home for 3 days, and today is the first time I
haven't taken any Panadeine (although I only take it in the morning
and at night, anyway).

Hope this has been of some help to you!

Rach †
