Re: [The Ileostomy Group] New!

I, too, got a ileostomy done in April of this year. I have had some real good
days. But I would like to hear from other people who may still be dealing with
this new companion.

Welcome to a new life, we certainly wish you the best. I'm now 58 and
was 18 when I got rid of my UC. Best day of my life and it's only gotten
better every day since. Certainly have changed the way surgery is
performed over the years.
Best of everything.

Hello! My name is Rachel, I am 20 & live in Melbourne, Australia.

Fifteen days ago I had a complete colectomy and finally got rid of my
Ulcerative Colitis! HOORAY! I was allowed home from hospital two days
ago, and am now slowly recovering.

The surgery was performed lapriscopically (sp?), so once I am healed
up I shall only have four tiny scars, which is great!

Anyway, just thought I would introduce myself! :)

Blessings,
Rach
