How long does it take your skin to get used to having a pouch stuck to it?

My surgery isn't until the 13th, but my ostomy nurse gave me a pouch to wear
just to "get used to it". Well, I was fine for about 42 hours in fact alot of
time I forgot I had it on, until after I took a shower and then it began to itch
around the wafer. There doesn't appear to be any rash. I imagine it's
something I'll have to get used to.

Thanks,
Tim
