how awesome! enjoy the sea. i live 3 blocks from the beach in san diego & have
only gone swimming once in 4 years since my ileo. was done & it was GREAT! cant
wait for summers return for more! funny thing my doc. said to me. he said if i
wanted to i could just ditch my pouch & go swimming without it since its
continually producing output. can you imagine? i think NOT! Anyways enjoy your
swim & let us know how it went. take care - will

I'm 2 months post op with my 3rd stoma. . I plan to keep it. I had quite a
hospital ordeal and spent nearly a month in the hospital between post op
infections then dehydration. I can't see the point in more surgery to reconnect
my j-pouch. . any way my grandma lives in Florida and I'm planning to visit her
April/May sometime. She's about an hour from Siesta Key so I'd like to hit the
beach for a day or two. I've never been to a beach or even wore a bathing suit
with an ileo. . any tips on buying a bathing suit or wearing one for swimming or
beach time would be appreciated. I've lost over 40 lbs since surgery but still
am chunky thanks to years of steroids. . no thongs or bikinis here. . . . ;OD
