Do you have access to a stoma nurse? They are worth their weight in
gold and could give you some good support and advice.

There are stoma support garments available in the form of underpants
or wide "belts". The belt is a very flexible band that is secured with
velcro. It goes around the abdominal area and gives firm but not tight
support. I wear one when I am doing any "more strenuous" activities
.... eg sweeping, mopping, maybe a bit of light gardening etc.
I think the one I use is made by Omnigon. The pants are also designed
to give firm but not tight support but have to be fitted better (the
belt is adjustable).

It is important for you to speak to your doctor or stomal nurse to ask
what type of activities you can do safely and which to avoid.
