This is an international peer support group for people who have IgA nephropathy (and their family members), who would like to discuss it within the framework of conventional nephrology. It is a moderated group, provided as a public service by The Foundation for IgA Nephropathy. When you subscribe, you will be provided with a copy of our terms of reference. Please take a few minutes to read this file when you receive it. By participating and continuing your membership, you are deemed to have read and accepted the terms of reference for the group.

IgA nephropathy is a common and variable type of glomerulonephritis which can have acute episodes, and which can lead to chronic renal failure. It is suspected when blood and/or protein are found in the urine, and it is ultimately diagnosed by biopsy.
