He may be referring to carbohydrate deficient glycoprotein syndrome.........

But in celiac disease the villi in the intestines do not breakdown gluten
found in most grain products, causing apparent failure to thrive in some
cases and also causes nasty bloating / diareha / vomiting in severe cases.
