Have you ever been curious about how having a midwife is different for a birth? Come to this free meeting to learn more about the Midwifery Model of Care and how it differs from the Medical Model of Care. Lean how midwives handle your birth experience in the hospital, birth center or home birth settings. We will talk about the care you will receive from prenatal visits to birth to postpartum.
This meeting will be held at the Northeast library meeting room. The room is located on the second floor next to the Children's Library. It is convenient to the Red Line (Union Station) and has ample street parking.
International Cesarean Awareness Network (ICAN) is a non-profit organization dedicated to cesarean prevention and recovery. ICAN of DC is dedicated to providing resources for women and their families in the DC Metro area. All of our meetings are free and open to the public. We encourage partners and children to attend. You can learn more about ICAN at http://www.ican-online.org or by joining the ICAN of DC Yahoo group.
