Mindy,
((((HUGS)))) Thank you so much for sharing your story. I'm so sorry for all you have been through. I can relate to much of it... the pain that was supposed to go away after a few weeks that took over a year... the depression, the shock of having my arms strapped down during the surgery, crucifix style... it doesn't seem to matter - preplanned or emergency, necessary or not, when it hurts to have a c-section, it really, really hurts.
I'm grateful that you have been able to find relief with acupuncture - I have heard of many women having success with this. Some women also try reiki, hypnosis, and other forms of alternative pain relief when conventional options don't work. I'm really glad that this has worked so well for you, after so many heart-wrenching months. And that you were able to find the diagnosis of hypothyroidism - what a relief that must be now. And most of all that you are getting your life back.
Keep sharing, keep talking. That's why we're here :)
((((HUGS)))),
Rachel
