I had Diane Sanfillipo (might not be spelled correctly) in 2007 for my pregnancy with little Fiona(5/24/07). Â She is in a practice with Santos and a few others, in Orchard Park. Â Dr. Santos is also very good. Â I liked Dr. Sanfillipo a lot, very upfront, honest. Â Unfortunately I didn't get far enough to really plan a VBA2C with her and I doubt she would have been supportive. Â Not many drs are supportive of VBA2C though, especially given my history because my little Quinn (8/26/04-11/28/05) experienced significant brain damage and lived for 15 mos and 2 days. Â I really don't think it was related to the VBAC attempt, but OBs tend to be quite spooked with those situations. Â Anyway, I really liked the drs in that practice in OP. Â There was only one that I didn't care for. Â And I have enough life experience now that if someone isn't doing what they should for me, they're fired. Â I still didn't get a living baby, but it wasn't her fault. Â Most of them held out hope for a miracle and they were supportive and encouraging, right up until the end. Â I got my VBA2C, but we all knew that Fiona wouldn't survive for long because it was just too early. Â Even in the aftermath of Fiona's birth and death, Diane looked me in the eye and tried to help as much as she could. Â I'm sorry that I can't be more specific, but I am out of state because my 60 yr old active mother died of complications of pancreatic cancer last week. Â With my mom's deat
h on top of everything else in my life, I'm really not thinking very clearly, so my apologies that I can't be more helpful. Â My issues with Dr. P are from during/after a mc for my April baby in Sept 2006. Â It's a long, traumatic story that I don't care to discuss. Â To his credit, I did get a response to my letter and from what I hear, he doesn't treat other women like he treated me back then. Â I guess there is that stereotype that women fall in love and worship their drs and it's better to be cautious and realistic. Â
