Checkout this article. It was posted on the PODS website (parents of diabetics support group in Buffalo). I always questioned whether there was a link, but basically wrote it off. Keep in mind that the type 1 diabetic population has increased significantly and is still on the rise, at rates too high to be accounted for by any kind of evolutionary cycles. They are pretty sure something environmental is at work, but that leaves a HUGE list of things to explore. With the c/s rates so high, it might make sense. It would be interesting to examine the type 1 rates and increases in various countries over time, and compare them to the c/s rates.
