OT Workshops in Compassionate / Nonviolent Communication   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #108 of 524 |
I thought these workshops might be of interest to some of you!
They are based on the book "Nonviolent Communication" by Marshall Rosenburg which is a communication style focusing on connection.  It can be applied with partners, kids, co-workers, parents... OBGYN's!
Feel free to send any (general) questions to me off list or to the presenters directly (about specifics of workshop).

Dear Friends of Compassionate Communication (aka "NVC"),

Needing help handling "difficult people" in your life? Wanting more
compassion for yourself and others and more effective ways of
communicating? Wanting more peace with those close to you? Come and
hear what all the buzz is about! Attend an interactive workshop on
COMPASSIONATE, NONVIOLENT COMMUNICATION ("NVC") and prepare to be
amazed, because NVC offers both a new way of seeing the world and
conflict, and a new way of speaking about it. As our founder, Marshall
Rosenberg, often says: "the next words you say can change the world".
NVC is universally applicable whether used in your family, workplace,
or school.

I will be returning To WNY the first week of July and will again be
teaching at Unity of Buffalo--both an introductory and an
intermediate workshop. Hope to see you there!

Wishing you heartfelt connections,
Ingrid Skoog and Unity of Buffalo

ABOUT NVC
Nonviolent Communication (NVC), also known as Compassionate
Communication, offers both usable communication tools and a new
approach to conflict emphasizing honesty, mutuality, and an honoring
of human interdependence. Taught in over 40 countries, the practice
works by shifting attention towards the feelings and needs we all
share, and away from the judgments, evaluations, and thoughts that
are our habit. By examining the needs behind what we do and say, NVC
reduces hostility, strengthens relationships, and facilitates more
effective, heartfelt communication. Above all, it fosters more joyful
and compassionate living.
