Hi all,

I am Hari, and i am a practitioner of Ayurveda, presently studying Medical anthropology.Here is a short biography of mine-

 

 

 

Hari Kumar B Nair was born and raised in Kerala, India where he graduated from the Government Ayurveda College in Thiruvananthapuram affiliated to the Kerala University as an Ayurvedic practitioner. While  working as the Medical Superintendent of the   two Ayurveda  Hospitals  run by  the Nair Service Society ( a leading community based Public  Trust in Kerala, India),he was also teaching Ayurveda at the Vijnana kalavedi ( a Centre for Cultural Education ) and simultaneously  at the Mar Athanasius College  for Advanced Studies in Kerala. Currently  doing his Masters Health and Society in South Asia at the South Asia Institute, University of Heidelberg. His research interests are Rituals and Healing, Ayurveda and Mental Health, Anthropology of Traditional medical practice, Traditional medicine and Public Health, Integrated Medicine and Kerala Studies.
