Good. Soup for the Qan is a book, now out of print. However, we are preparing a new edition and I will see if I can secure a copy for you when it comes out. Let me see what I have as files that you might be interested in. Paul

Hi,Prof.Paul D.Buell, Thank you that you are still remembering me. Yes, we met in Austin. I am very interested in your research, including your recent article published in the journal of IASTAM.... I have studied the history of Traditional Mongolian Medicine and now I am interested in Shamanic healings in Inner Mongolia. According to my field research, there are shamanic healers who are specialized body-mental healings in Eastern Inner Mongolia. I found some shamans in Hulun-Buir region, who are practicing Qonin-u Arasun Jasal and Qonin-u Sebesun Jasal very well. If you are interested in my articles in Chinese or Japanese, I will send to you the copies of some articles. Best Wishes. Saijirahu

Hi Saijirahu (we met in Austin?). I for one, would like to know more not just about Mongolian shamanic treatment but about the use of herbs in shamanic and other healing. I am also currently looking at possible Islamic medicine influences on Mongolian. Paul D. Buell

Dear iastam@egroups,
I am Saijirahu from Japan. I had researched on the history of traditional Mongolian medicine about ten years in China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Beijing. Then I come to Japan as a foreign student and studied shamanic healings in Inner Mongolia. Now, I am researching on the history of Mongolian medicine in the 20th century Inner Mongolia.
I would like to talk about the history of TMM, or the shamanic healings in Modern Inner Mongolia, if you are interested in these topics.
Yours
Saijirahu
