Join Starseed for this 2 day, 16-hour intensive course of study leading to a
Certificate in Ayurvedic Self-Care & Health Maintenance. This program is
intended as an introduction to Ayurveda that is both detailed as well as of
practical use to the non-health professional who wishes to take a more
responsible part in caring for his or her health. In addition, it will serve as
a basis for more advanced training for those desiring to either become
practitioners of Ayurveda or to extend their skills.

Following completion of this intensive weekend, the student is allowed 30 days
of self-study (extensible to 60) to prepare for a take-home, self-administyered
final examination, successful completion of which will culminate in the award of
the Certificate in Ayurvedic Self-Care & Health Maintenance.

This course is the first of a series of programs in Ayurveda that will take
students through intermediate and advanced levels of proficiency and which will
train and certify students as Ayurvedic health consultants.

The course's instructor, Dr. Aparna Bapat, is one of the world's premier
writers, scholars, teachers and practitioners of Ayurvedic medicine whose work
is known in the United States, the United Kingdom and India. Dr. Bapat is a
graduate of the University of Pune Faculty of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery; is
formerly Senior Lecturer at the College of Ayurveda (London, U.K.).and is
presently consultant at the Ayurveda Center, New York City. She is the author of
numerous articles on Ayurvedic medicine and related themes and has made multiple
television appearances (on London's Zee-TV) as health issues consultant.
