It is my experience that even the best of groups, such as the one
you are reading now, disallow freedom of discussion of ideals and
ideas outside of a tightly intended target. For this reason I have
installed a somewhat less constrictive community at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Art_of_hypnosis/ where it is hoped
that we may be soon joyously reunited and where we can lightly
banter with wit or profoundly converse with gravitas when the mood
takes us and put to rights the wrongs of the world, or not.

This group is solely for the enjoyment of those who consider
hypnosis an art, in whichever of its many performable environments.
Be they an hypnotic artist themselves or merely an interested
onlooker.

As such there will be times when the conversation includes the odd
discourse on how to hold the brush or to prepare the canvas and
such, but it is also hoped that where other hypnosis groups disdain
the subjects of philosophy, spiritualism, politics, beliefs and
George Forman grills, that bring personal malaise or the need for
self evolvement to us, we shall not ignore the world beyond the
swinging watch as the below quote suggests…

"When a group of artists comes together, the last thing they should
do is talk about their art. This kind of behavior leads only to
monstrosities such as writers groups and other mincing, ineffectual
hellholes. They should talk about life, experience and meaning, for
this is where art begins and ends."
`Pure effect' Derren Brown – UK psychological illusionist.
