This post is in regard to the certification program for the first
Hypnoticon, not for any upcoming events.

For those of you working on your certification materials with the
Society of Experiential Trance from the first Hypnoticon . . .
please remember that the accellerated program is a one-time offer in
which those who attended both the morning and afternoon sessions of
my intensive course on Friday during the premiere Hypnoticon may
streamline their examination/demonstration process. You are
required to demonstrate each of the required skillsets on video only
once (normally, the video exam option requires more demonstrations
but those who attended the first Hypnoticon course are given
preferential treatment).

As you know, Hypnoticon 08 Atlanta attendees who who submit your
materials to me (Brian David Phillips) BEFORE 01 August 2008 and are
passed through the review process will receive one year membership
with SET gratis. This was a special cooperative program with the
first Hypnoticon and expires soon, so if you're working on your
submission, make sure you get it done in time. Hypnoticon was an
official SET convention and so the special membership program was
part of that relationship.

Please note that the streamline exam and free membership in SET is
only available to those who attended my program at Hypnoticon and is
only approved if you send the examination material to me before the
due date.

Of course, if you wish to examine at a later date, there are a
number of fine SET instructors who are eligible to vette video exams
if they wish (in the regular program, not the special program used
for the first Hypnoticon) in addition to offerring their own
certification courses in the future (prior to my tour of India, I
will be back in the US in July to offer a full week certification
course with much more material covered in addition to hypotherapy
and the new experiential hypnosis models . . . see

Additionally, there are a number of SET instructors (including some

In other news . . . this has come up recently via emails and posts
to other groups, so let me clarify this for folks, I was a co-
founder and co-organizer of Hypnoticon but for a number of reasons
of our own I am no longer a partner or involved in the business
organization for the convention beyond the first so do not direct
questions regarding the future of the convention toward me as I do
not have any answers for you. If you have questions about the
