and enjoy attending the monthly Chapter meetings, you're invited to
participate on the board. You can let us know at the meeting, or in

VETERANS DAY EVENT UPDATES
As you may recall from the last email announcement, we are joining
forces by asking individual members of NGHWA to host free mini-
seminars for military personnel and their families in the weeks
surrounding Veteran's Day.
We're making great progress: The press releases are being finalized,
the public service announcement is being produced, and the website
already has 4 live events, 1 phone-in event, and 1 free download
posted. Check it out at http://www.nghwa.org/member-events. We will
be sending the announcements to the press sometime next week, so
please get your event information to us as soon as possible. You can
send your information to Lauren@... or
KateWells@.... Thanks to everyone who is hosting an event
and/or has been helping behind the scenes with this process.

WORLD HYPNOTISM DAY UPDATES
Be sure to visit www.worldhypnotismday.com and sign in to receive a
password to the members area. You'll get lots of free information,
free downloads, and email updates. This is the time to start planning
your events for January!
NGHWA is hosting a Hypnotherapy Resource Forum at Evergreen Hospital
on January 12 from 9:30 to 3:30. While all of the presenter positions
have been filled, there are still opportunities to have a display
table to sell wellness-related products (must be pre-approved), and
there are still volunteer opportunities. Contact
Lauren@... for more information.

RISING WATER FLOATS ALL SHIPS
Think of our Chapter as an amazing vehicle -- it can take us so many
places. It offers opportunities for us to continue our education. It
provides a place for us to meet other practitioners so we can
collaborate on projects and share ideas. It provides a forum each of
us can use to increase awareness of the profession of hypnosis
throughout the greater community. There are more than enough clients
out there for all of us, and we are seeing fantastic results as we
gather together in a spirit of cooperation, not competition. As we
continue to create a strong community of professionals, working
together to provide greater service, we "raise the water," if you
will, floating all of our individual ships higher.
Please consider participating in one of our collaborative projects,
like the Veteran's Day program, or World Hypnotism Day. If you have
any ideas about how to make our chapter better, please contact me, or
any of the board members, with your ideas.
