Greetings NGHWA Members and Friends...
Our February meeting with Katie Evans was inspirational! We had lots of
new faces and it was great to meet the new members in our community. Our
chapter is growing! If you haven't been out to see us in a while, we
encourage you to come on out and reconnect.
As March arrives, we are pleased to share lots of great opportunities
for connecting with the hypnosis community and expanding your education.
Our next meeting is Friday, March 9 at 7 PM at the South Snohomish
County PUD Auditorium (address below). Chelsea Gabriel will enlighten us
with an informative presentation on Pediatric Hypnosis and Eriksonian
Approaches to Hypnosis with Children.
Pediatric Hypnosis is now widely used all over the world from the
hypnotist's office to the Dental or Doctor's office, in major
hospitals and in university clinical trials. Working with children can
easily be one of the most rewarding aspects and biggest joys of your
hypnosis practice if you know what you are doing! Join us for a fun,
informative and entertaining evening learning pediatric hypnosis tools
for helping children of all ages.
You will learn about:
* Current university research & clinical trials;
* Age appropriate inductions, what to expect, what to do, and what
not to do!
* Ethics & absolute contraindications;
* Milton H. Erickson's amazing approaches and innovations in
Pediatric Hypnotherapy
Uses:
* Behavior problems (thumb sucking, anger, hair pulling, ADHD, tics);
* Chronic conditions (asthma, CF, bedwetting, sleep disorders,
anxiety, etc.); and,
* Symptom/Pain control/Medical procedure discomfort (cancer, shots,
spinal tap; stitches, chemotherapy nausea/vomiting, etc.) and more…
Chelsea Gabriel is a master hypnotherapist, trainer and clinician having
practiced hypnosis for 30 yrs. and NLP for 26 yrs. She apprenticed with
Dr. John Grinder (NLP founder) before becoming a trainer for him and he
dubbed her the "female Milton Erickson," saying she was the
closest thing to Erickson he had seen in action, results and unconscious
rapport. She conducts insanely fun, leading edge trainings in NLP,
Hypnosis, Trance Literacy™ & Trance Ecology™, and other topics.
Her favorite two things in the world are to give, and to laugh.
