Welcome to another month of news from the Washington State local
chapter of the National Guild of Hypnotists. First of all, I'd
like to introduce our newest Board member, our Events
Coordinator, Ellany Kayce. Please direct any recommendations for
speakers for our meetings to her. Ellany can be reached at

If you weren't at the January meeting, you missed a great one!!!
We were fortunate to have Jack Elias enlighten us with his humor,
his insights, and his perspective on sub-personality work. I can
only say that you really have to experience Jack in his role as
teacher. It was a gift to all who attended.

Friday's Meeting

We do have another treat in store this month. Our very own
immediate Past President, Keith Livingston, will present to us:
Submodalities: The Secret Code of the Mind. As Keith is a world
leader in NLP and hypnosis education, you can bet you will take
away a lot of tools to start to immediately use in your
practices.

Keith will be giving away over $500 worth of very practical NLP
and hypnosis materials but you've got to show up to get in on it!

March Meeting
We are fortunate to once again present, Deborah Kaye on March
10th. Deb will present "Dance With Conflict". Join her for an
evening of discovery about relationships and how we can help our
clients in this "Dance". She will be offering a workshop as well
in Seattle at the end of March.

Future meetings include:

* Katie Evans of "Living Lite" will talk to us about how to have
full time well paid successful practice on Friday, April 14th.
* John Gore and his business partner will present a Hypnosis
Stage show and answer questions about this aspect of the hypnosis
business.
* A website designer will tell us what's important for our
websites.

At our last meeting, Cheryl Chamberlain, our secretary,
introduced and facilitated the "30 second intro". Anyone who
wanted to had the opportunity to introduce themselves and briefly
tell us about their practices or experience with hypnosis. Being
able to speak about who you are and what you do in a very short
time is a wonderful tool to have and we are giving you the
opportunity to hone this technique at each of our meetings. We
received lots of positive feedback and definitely felt that it
also presented a great opportunity for all of us to connect and
begin to know one another. As our goal is to create an "open
forum" environment for the hypnosis community, I think we're off
to a good start.

As we are trying to plan as far out in the year as possible, and
as we know how quickly time flies, I'd like to plant the seeds
for some future events that we could do as a community to promote
hypnosis to the public. We are looking for people who would like
to form committees for the following:

* The Great American Smoke Out -November 17th, 2006
* World Hypnotism Day ---January 4th, 2007
* Joint/Group Advertising ( i.e. in Conscious Choice or other
publication )


If you'd like to see any of these things happen, please let us
know how you can be of service. The Board is happy to create the
vision, run the meetings, gather speakers, and lots of other
administration aspects, but we're unable to take on these bigger
projects without you. Imagine what we can create together……………
