Greeting and Salutations,

Beverly Bryant here, your President of the Washington State Chapter
of the National Guild of Hypnotists.

Well it looks like fall is officially here. The rains are here that
make our state so beautiful. I grew up here and haven't melted yet.
I'm sorry but I love the rain. It cleans the air, cleans the trees
and plants, and makes things grow abundantly. There are a few
drawbacks but hey, we can't have everything.

On with our news;
The September meeting with Katie Evans was fun and she was full of
great information. Katie has the blueprint for success with her
Lighten Up program and told us some of her secrets. Here are some of
them. They may not make much sense if you were not there but I
believe she does give classes.

Selling Tips:
· Talk directly with people
· Show them your collateral material
· Have an "elevator" speech
· You can take cards and use them for giveaways
· You can send out a "tip of the day"

Points for good business development:
· Get together with like-minded people
· Define who you are and get focused
· People get better to the extent that they invest in their
improvement
· Be reverent of your time – treat your business with respect

A big thanks to Katie for coming to speak with us!

Upcoming meetings:

· The October 15th meeting will be in a round-table format.
Costumes are strongly encouraged, and refreshments will be served.
We will also be giving away "Past Life Chronicles" journal books to
the first 10 people that show up!

Nominations for new officers will be accepted. Remember only members
can nominate and can be nominated so we need you all there if
possible.

Topics will be;
What do we want for the future of our chapter?
Marketing Ideas
Speakers and Topics
Medical Issues
Scripts
NLP
Working with Children

STOP and ask yourself some key questions that you need answered for
your practice. . You can even bring your own topic.
This meeting is especially for YOU!

November - Maria Peralta – How to Succeed in Public Speaking.
You will have the opportunity to learn simple and useful breathing
techniques, speech exercises, and positive affirmations to help you
develop not only your self-confidence, but to also become
a "Champion Public Speaker."

We will vote for our new officers. (I am excited about this one.)

· December – Roy Hunter on Parts Therapy. Roy is a master at
this and will do a demonstration for us if we want.
We will appoint a new president and the old officers will be
transferring to the new officers at the end of the meeting.

Lastly, Bev has asked that you please fill out the questionnaires at
each meeting – it helps us makes the meeting better for all of you.

Thanks Dena for taking notes for us.
And thanks to all of the officers for everything you do behind the
scenes that make our chapter a success.
