Re: [hypno] Advice for working with a child re baseball

Thank you, G. Good info.

I was so looking forward with working with this 10-year-old. Unfortunately, it
turned out to be a no-show, so I have no feedback to provide those of you who
gave me pointers.

I do appreciate the time you all took to share information with me!

Kathy

it to?the major leagues,?getting hit by a pitch is a part of the game the way
the "big boys" play it.?? Even?your favorite players are hit by a ball every now
and then, and they still come back to play the game...They even like to show the
pitcher up by not rubbing the area where they got hit by the ball as if to say
to the pitcher, "Ha.! that didn't even hurt."? It's a badge of honour to be so
"respected" by opposing pitchers that they consider?you so good as to be so
afraid of?your?abilities that they lose focus every now and then and that they
might throw a wild one either by accident because they're so afraid of you, or
maybe even on purpose, from time to time, or more likely, rarely.? In the
future,?you will recognise this and?your reflexes will be more aware next
time?you're at bat and that?you'll?maybe?get out of the way of the ball next
time, if you want to.? But at the same time, even if you don't get out of the
way or can't get out of the way, that you know that?you always wear a helmet
when?you're batting and that serious injury can be avoided because of that fact
alone.??You knows that if you do get hit by the ball,?you even get to go to
first base for FREE and that it helps?your team win games, because?you're a team
player, right? Just?like the professionals.? The professionals are always taking
one for the team to win a game.? Some of the players even lean into an inside
pitch because they know they'll get a free base if they get hit by the ball and
experience a little discomfort for only a little while.? And then they get to be
a hero because they are likely to score an important run that is crucial to
winning games."?
