There's a lot of nonsense in smoking cessation research from the
drivel you quoted to the claims of 95+% success for the hypno-nlp
combi treatment based on alleged trials with 300 people and plugged
by offshoots of the Practice Builders marketing organisation, which
is equally rubbish.
Hypnosis has, however, been proven to be the second most effective
way of making someone quit smoking.
