hi my name is ashley austin when i was born at 2 wks old i had a shunt
put in i had 12 surgeries because the shunt was put in several times
at queen of the valley and they messed up i was in icu and than my
shunt became infected so i was airlifted to childrens orange county
where they finally fixed it my first revision was at 9 years old first
grade. i have had my shunt a 1.0 shunt for 10 years off my life and
now 19 years old i have had 2 surgeries this year. i am having severe
headaches now and my ct scans and xrays look normal my shunt is
functioning and everything but i might need a pressure valve a
diffrent one but neuros dont think so because everything looks fine so
i feel horrible. i have never talked to anyone with hydro ever i just
found this group and its kind of conferting. if you have yahoo
