Headaches, at least in the experience of myself & many members of the support group I belong to, are often misdiagnosed as migranes, when they are fluid/hydro related, not true migranes.  It is the closest thing many medical professionals have as a reference point, so they call them that.  Not saying that someone w/hydro can't have migranes, but they are different from the fluid/hydro related headaches, which still can cause light & sound sensitivity.

Hi, I have acquired hydro from a brain abscess that I had in July
2000. After the first craniotomy with aspiration I had a open
ventriculostomy, then the shunt. 3 months total time for all of this.
Revision in 2002. I have adhesions in my head and abdomen(painfull)
and have headaches all night. Can't lay on the shunt side of my head,
never have been able to.
Wondering if anyone else here has the adhesions? I know the migraines
are common.

Hi Diana, I get the nausea with mine. I am guessing that goes along with most. I do get light and hearing sensitivity, with pressure behind my eyes. Thanks ...

hi i have 2 shunts one in the front of my brain and one in the back and they drain into the main shunt system in my stomach i have been getting severe...
