Re: [hydrocephalus] Fast recovery

isn't it amazing how quickly the little ones rebound?  how old is christopher?  Kaila (7) well 6 at the time - had a shunt revision and was running around th ehospital the next day and home being crazy the next.  even when she had a complete replacement she was on an external shunt in the hospital for a week running around the playroom hanging onto the machine.  Wow 2 inches must have made a big difference, and he must feel much better - no wonder he was trying to walk around for christmas!  good for him, and good for you for putting you faith in some good drs and god, that's all we can do with our little ones at times like that!

Well Mr. Christopher has his cranial reconstruction done and they told
me that it would be 7 - 9 hours in surgery. They started on him around
9 am and he was in PICU a little after 11. It was done the 18th and we
were home the 20th. He has recovered and back to his old tricks lol.
Dr. Sacco removed 200 cc of csf and Dr. Fearon brought his forehead
down 2 inches. He looks amazing to say the least. He is up and into
everything. Pulls up on anything he can get his hands on - took a
couple of steps on christmas day and scared me to death. All I can say
is faith is not believing that God can it is knowing that he will!!
