We are slowly getting ready for his big day on the 18th. Chris has no
idea what is about to happen but I know in my heart this is the best
christmas present I can give him. I am going through the usual doubts
but I know God is driving this wagon now - I am just along for the
ride. He will be going into surgery at 7:30 am on the 18th and should
last about 7 hours a second for him and an eternity for me. My mom
will be there but she gets so upset and only adds to the stress. I
know she means well and this time a friend of mine from dallas will be
there. I know he is strong enough to help me get through it and share
his physical strength. God will carry through the darkest hours until
I get the call telling me to meet them at the PICU because he is being
brought up. They will be removing a band of bone from his skull to
bring down the height and take off a lot of the weight. They will
remove fluid from his ventricles and then take out the bone
accordingly.
