Hi Laura,
If your doc says you need an revision I would not wait. That is what happened with me they waited too long and it turned into emergency sugery, because they kept saying that the shunt was working and it wasn't. Then they took the faulty shunt out fixed it and put it back in so who knows how long before it will break again.
