About 3 or 4 months ago I started with a earache and have had it ever
since ...and my shoulders and neck have been hurting me like crazy,
and I have had pains shoot up the back of my neck and head toward my
shunt....and it is all constant pain ....the shoulder and neck pain
and stuff just started bout 2 weeks ago or so ...but anyways ..of
course a headache ...not major like it can get but its there ...and
just feeling tired and weak ...and well for my ear i go to a nurse
practitioner...cause at first i thought it was all a cold but then it
goes on and on and so i go to a ENT and he says they are fine ...So i
go to a Oral Surgeon for my Jaw also hurting and he says everything
is fine....Well i went to my regular doc today and he said it sounded
like it was my shunt ...and i have fluid behind my ears that has been
there since i first got the ear ache....and my shoulder and neck pain
and everything is constant and will not go away ...So my regular doc
is sending me for a CT on Monday ...to see what it says and i guess
go from there ...then i also read on the net tonight that symptoms of
shunt infection is pain in neck and shoulder muscles...but it also
said fever and that's one thing i haven't had ...I've felt like it but
not had a fever just in constant pain...and i had the fluid build up
behind my eyes before so i was thinking it may could some how be CSF
behind my ears...who knows ..but guess ill know more after the
CT .....What do you all think????
