I am so sorry to hear that. Have you ever had a whooshing sound in your ear? I currently have head pain on the top left side, and sometimes on my shunt, which was placed on the top right side. Atleast that is where it sticks out. I am currently waiting for my NS's assistant to call me with my MRI appointment. My NS decided to up my MRI from October, which is when I am supposed to have one considering all the symptoms that I am having. Do you have pressure in your eyes as well?

I have a programmable shunt. I have a programmable Medtronic Strata Valve.
I had mine placed as part of a valve revision in 2004.
It was placed to help relieve severe headaches that I had been having. I had
to go to three Neuro's before I got them to place it. By this time my old
shunt was making noises and I could hear it in my head. Now even after the
programmable shunt revision because they waited so long I have chronic daily
headaches.
