It took 7 years for my mind to wonder about what
happened in 1999 when I had a total of 9 surgeries
that year (5 surgeries in 98 and 1 in 2000). I
remember one night my mother looked at my eyes then
ran to get the doctor. That's all I remember, but
afterwards I remember having trouble talking, writing,
and very poor coordination. Also, I remember rolling
my right hand up into a fist and held it close to my
heart. Back then I think anything of it. I remember
walking around at work and at times not knowing where
I was. All of this time I thought a hematoma was a
bruise on the brain and not bleeding in the brain.
For a long time I had a feeling of a pocket of liquid
right where the cerebellum is. My wife knows about my
medical history, but she doesn't know this. How do I
tell her?
