Maybe it's the air. Seriously though, how does your better half cope with a
husband who has hydrocephalus?
Sometimes my wife finds it exceedingly difficult, although I told her that
with some of the challenges I face, she has no choice but to be paitent with
me since they are harder for me than they are for her (eg. remembering
things, or having to take time to formulate my thoughts).
She's gotten better at it, but she still has her moments. It was even worse
when I had to go for a shunt revision in 2002. She knew it may have to
happen someday - I warned her of it, symptoms, outlined what may happen, no
matter that it had been 16 years since my last malfunction (a milestone for
me). She survived my surgery <g> and will probably be better prepared if
there ever comes a next time (which, based on my mathematical calculations
according to the exponentially changing intervals between revisions
shouldn't be until about the year 2047. Yeah right, I should only be so
lucky.
