If youre in CA you can get Healthy Families Insurance or Medi Cal...I;m hydrocephalic & when I was dropped rrom my Moms insurance (at age 24) I got a letter from my HMO basically stating that b/c I was covered by them before they couldnt discriminate against me if I was to take up an individual policy myself. You should look into that. If youre daughter was already under one plan they cant use her hydrocephalus as a preexisting condition. could you pay for the insurance your employer had?
