My mom experienced alot of mood swings. They call it raging. Where for an hour
or so, she just exploded in anger. She said some very hurtful things during
those times and I am still trying to work through the mess that it left me in.
But you MUST remember that when this happens, it is the Disease working, not
your mom. She remembered things that never happened. And made me look like the
bad guy because of her fake memories.
She also slowly began to loose control of her body. She can still walk, talk,
eat and use the toilet. But she cannot drive, talk well, or even walk a straight
line. We had to have her go to a nursing home when she would get into the car
and wreck it a few miles later.
She also lost alot of weight, so make sure that she is getting what she needs in
nutrition. Because the disease effects the motor functions of your body, it
becomes difficult to swallow. Protien shakes helped my grandma, and are now
helping my mom.
That's all I really can say of my experience. My mom is now in the advanced
stages, so she is being more cooperative with us, finally.
I am praying that your situation goes well with your mom. :)

common things I should expect my mom to go through. I've done alot of reading on
it but I've never gotten the chance to talk to anyone (let alone a whole group
of people) that have actually had a loved one go through this. Since I will be
her caretaker, is there any tips anyone could give me.
