Hey...
My husband and I volunteered at the HD chapter in Calgary, Alberta Canada. We volunteered at the garage sale for two days. We raised 4000. Have fun. We miss it. We had to move there. Nobody can afford to live there anymore.
I gave away my site. This is the only positive HD site. I am also the only HD person that is having symptoms who blogs. Every day I blog about my HD. I have the top Disease/Disabilty blog.

Subject: [huntington's at risk] awareness and support websites
Today I met up with the local HD co-ordinator about doing voluntary work for the association. I was telling her about this group and how there is some fantastic advice and support to be had on the links shared, and she has asked me to forward them to her, though unfortunately I didnt save them to my favourites folder! Can you please advice me of them so I can pass on this info.
Apart from the awareness side of things, I was asking her what the assn has sent up as an ANNUAL fundraiser, like the likes of SIDS (red nose day), daffodil day, jeans for genes day (which kinda applys to HD anyways) etc. She has a few ideas and hopefully in the near future we can pursue that. I have a few things to get started on though, which is very exciting. She asked me to help out in the respite centre, though I find that hard...and would rather work at the other end...the fundraising/ awareness/ support side of things. Though one thing I AM looking forward to is helping out at the kids camp in december!
Regards,
Ronni.
