Thanks for all the names and numbers of Chiropractors
who practice the Webster technique.  I passed them on,
but as is happened, my friend didn't have a chance to
get to anyone. Her membranes ruptured on the 4th and
contractions came on pretty fast and furious. she went
in soon after to find she was 6 cm. Fairly soon after
that she had an emergency Cesarean due to fetal
distress. Not too sure of the details as I'm getting
them from her mom. Her mom said it was a good thing as
she had a "paper thin window" in her uterus and "could
have ruptured at any time" (VBAC). Apparently my
friend is pretty upset with the outcome.

Any local support groups/ therapists I can recommend?

Technique. I've got a VBAC friend here who is 40 weeks
and a day, desperately fighting off induction,
especially as her baby seems to have now turned
posterior. I just learned that Trina Marx of Hudson
Chiropractic in Tarrytown -- who worked wonders for a
client of my last winter -- has recently passed away.
I don't know of anyone else in the region.

(oh,and I'll just mention that my friend's induction
is being justified by her "failure to progress" prior
to the start of labor. That's a new one to me. Her
body is apparently failing her because she is only 2
cm dilated now. Amazing. )

Thank you for this WONDERFUL group. I will be moving to Georgia and

in Georgia. I have had 2 wonderful homebirth experiences with my

patients/clients with new and effective tools for
coping with labor and skillful ways to enhance their
comfort in pregnancy. Whole Birth® Prenatal Yoga
and Support Classes also create and strengthen a
needed sense of community and friendship among the
participants with a forum for discussing issues
pertinent to pregnancy, birth and family making.
This training will also provide a rich understanding
of
  the body/mind dynamics of the childbearing year to
  encourage a woman's trust in her own resources for
birth and mothering.

The Whole Birth® Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training
course is 5 days in length and includes a balance of
experiential and didactic learning. Topics will

* Poses to avoid & poses to suggest for specific
pregnancy related discomforts.

Whole Birth Resources is a mindfulness-based
educational forum offering innovative classes, teacher
training and educational materials that cultivate a
deeper understanding and trust in the everyday miracle
of pregnancy, birth and family life.

  Whole Birth Resources is located in Santa Cruz,
California and offers Whole Birth Yoga and support
classes, New Parent and Baby movement, yoga and
support classes, day long retreats for pregnant
couples, Whole Birth Yoga teacher trainings, and
counseling for the childbearing years. In addition, we
produce audio tapes and CDs for prenatal
yoga,meditation and holistic labor preparation.

Whole Birth Resources was founded in 1999 by Robin
Sale, Childbirth Educator/Counselor, Perinatal

Dr. Alain LeGuillou is a pediatrician at Full Circle Family Care in White Plains
(421-1500). He
is very holistic and is also a specialist in homeopathy. Many of our midwifery
patients use
him and speak very highly of him.

with the care both of my children received there. Dr Edis has so many
outstanding achievments. I now live in Dutchess county and had to
leave the practice. Believe me, I seriously considered traveling to
