Re: Info twins in one amniotic sac

I just had the pleasure of a birth with Dr. Millicent Comrie. She is a great,
steady, patient, experienced OB. She is in Brooklyn and works at LICH, 718 852
9185. This is probably too far for regular visits for this mom, but maybe she
could get a second opinion/consult. This OB is absolutely the best one I have
worked with.

information and hope you can help. Someone I know found out yesterday they are
pregnant with twins and the twins are sharing one amniotic sac. Apparently
there is a high risk of fetal demise due to the cords being knotted,
strangulation, etc. They have given her options such as complete terminations,
selective termination, or possibly hospitalization for months for daily fetal
monitoring. This person had horrible depression after her first pregnancy, so
hospitalization is not a great option for her. If you know anyone at all who
had this (it one in like 36,000) please let me know if we could contact them to
discuss it.
