I recieved an email from a former student who is very concerned about her sister in Windsor, NY. I will include an excerpt from her email below...but am wondering if anyone knows of a mental health support/professional in that area who specializes in women's issues.
I was wondering if you would know of someone that my sister could talk to in the Orange County-NY area. My sister, Ann, lives with her husband and her 4 kids in New Windsor, NY and she is going through an incredibly difficult and painful time. She seems to be at a major turning point in her life and she needs and wants help and is ready to talk to someone about moving forward.
I would grealy appreciate any referrals that you may know of.

Here is some info on a new mother support group that is forming:
I am starting a Support Group for pregnant women and new moms with
infants up to 18 months. Its not a birth education class or anything
like that, it is for mothers to socialize, learn about mental health
and well being, and improving attachments with their babies. It will
meet every other week on Saturdays in the afternoons. The location is
in Queens. The fee is $20 per session, which is 90 min. Babies up to
18 months are welcome.
If you know any moms in your classes that can benefit from this group,
please spread the word! And I will definitely return the favor and
refer my pregnant women for bradley classes!
