Hello Wise Women,
Sorry for the cross posts!!
I have an expectant mom who may require a c-section for placenta previa for her 4th child. I have heard from many fellow nurses that stitches are *better* than staples. I know from bedside care that the moms with stitches appear to have less pain upon movement. I have never had a C-section and from what other nurses have told me...stitches heal better with less keloids. Does anyone have any evidence based info pertaining to this? I don't want to be giving anecdotal info to this mom. I did a quick internet search and didn't come up with anything....please let me know. Thanks so much, Pauline
