I've worked with a few 3 pounders (including my own) and they are sturdier than they look.  I hope she will be able to breastfeed; that sometimes takes a few weeks to establish with little guys.  Feel free to call me for a pep talk if you are worried.

One other suggestion...breastfeed Not only is there great research about skin to skin...but a ton of info that supports BF...it decreases the risk of infection...
