The Birth Survey is officially launched! Go check it

This ongoing, on-line survey was developed by the
Grassroots Advocates Committee of the Coalition for
Improving Maternity Services (CIMS) and is being
piloted in NYC in partnership with Choices in
Childbirth. The Birth Survey will be available in New
York City only for the next year before being launched
nationally in the summer of 2008.

If you've birthed in NYC in the last 2 years please
tell us about it! The survey is anonymous and will
give you the opportunity to share your birth
experience, particular to the place and practitioner
with whom you birthed, with other women in your
community. We hope to have survey results available
starting in October. The survey takes approximately 20
minutes to complete.

We hope that The Birth Survey will prove to be a
valuable tool in bringing a higher level of
transparency to maternity care. Women need to know
what to expect from the facilities and practitioners
that they are choosing to birth with in NYC.
