Following is an Email I sent to the HBVN list from my
AOL account. MAny of the addresses I sent to were no
longer valid. In case you did not receive this
message, here it is (again.)

If you were at the last meeting of the HVBN, you heard
me speak about the amazing products available to us
through Techsoup. I encourage everyone to go to the
Techsoup.com website to look at what they have to
offer. In addition to Software, we can purchase
networking tools. My husband just bought a Linksys
wireless router and paid a lot more than the $15.00
Techsoup charges.

We also just renewed with Norton and paid a lot more
than the $15.00 offered here.

I am planning to order Microsoft Publisher 2007 which
turns brochure making into a fast, easy process. I
will probably also order Microsoft Office Professional
Plus 2007. Microsoft requires that each organization
order a minimum of 5 "seats." A seat can be another
copy of the same software or another title. The other
hitch is that we can only order once a year from
Microsoft.

There are many choices on Techsoup including Apple
products and software, Development and networking
tools, operating systems and Web Site and Design
Tools.

I am going to call this the first look for everyone.
Please visit the site to see if there is anything you
might want or need for your business. Be careful to
check the requirements. I have us listed as
non-medical so we should be OK with Microsoft. Adobe,
however, wants you to be able to show them that you
used there product for non-profit gain. There, you
may have to think about how you could prove that
before ordering.

Shortly, I will give you a deadline for making
selections and then require payment before placing the
order. This is really a fantastic opportunity so I
hope you get a chance to check it out soon.
