Brief Description:

THE POSITIVE PAIN OF LABOR:

The goal is to increase your confidence in your ability to believe in the process of labor. You can strengthen your self esteem and bond with your baby as you realize and understand the healthy and meaningful pain of labor. This workshop allows women to anticipate their own physical and emotional response to the natural process of labor, as they reflect on their own physical and emotional response to their lives and other experiences of pain. Separating the two is essential!

The pregnant women will explore and identify her natural abilities to be in her body and labor, and recognize her adjustment styles. Dad or the birth partner

will learn some techniques in how to effectively augment and encourage her in her abilities to have an easier birth, and draw upon her inner resources. This session has been inspired by my birth 17 years ago, 16 years working with pregnant women and their families, meditation practice, and upon the research by Dr. Gayle Peterson and her work in Body-Centered Hypnosis. This is a 2 ½ hour workshop. Please dress comfortably!

Englewood/Fort Lee/Alpine: (20min)

Palisades Interstate Parkway North to exit 5N (Route 303 North Orangeburg). At the 4^th light, Erie St. you will make a left onto ERIE ST Take this to the end. Make a right onto VAN WYCK RD. The 2^nd left is PVT. LOVETT CT. **The 2^nd house on the left is my home #2, brown brick.

Closter/Norwood/Northvale: (10 Min)

Livingston St. going North becomes route 303 North. Continue on Route 303 North past 5 lights: Oak Tree Rd light, Kings Highway light, Route 340 light, Orangeburg Rd light, Mountainview Ave light and next light is ERIE ST. Make a left onto ERIE ST and follow to the end. Make a right onto VAN WYCK RD and at 2^nd left is PVT. LOVETT CT. The 2^nd house on the left is my home #2, brown brick.

Rivervale/Montvale/Park Ridge/Woodcliff Lake: (5-10min)

Two ways:

1. Garden State Parkway North to the New York State Thruway South to Exit 13South (Palisades Parkway South) to exit 7 (stay in your right lane because it comes up fast) Make a right onto TOWNLINE RD and take to the end. Make a right onto SICKLETOWN RD and go through a one way bridge/overpass and make an immediate left onto FIFTH AVE and take to the end. Make a right onto VAN WYCK RD and your first right onto PVT LOVETT CT. The 2^nd house on the left is my home #2, brown brick.

2. GRAND AVE in Montvale. Go to the end of GRAND AVE. (Garden State Parkway North to exit 172 Grand Ave, take to the end of Grand Ave.) Make a right onto RIVERVALE RD and immediate left onto BLUE HILL RD and take to the end. Make a left onto ORANGEBURGH/BLUE HILL RD and take to the end.

YOU ARE NOW IN NY>>>>At this light, ORANGEBURG RD you will make a right and the first left onto BLUE HILL RD and take to the end. Make a right onto CONVENT RD and after the light you will see an intersection. Make a left onto VAN WYCK RD and go straight, past the middle school the second left is PVT LOVETT CT. Mahwah/Ramsey/Oakland/Saddle River: (20-25min)

Route 17 North to 287 North to New York State Thruway South to exit 13S (Palisades Interstate Parkway South) to exit 7. Stay in the right lane on the PIP because the exit comes up fast. Make a right onto TOWNLINE RD and take to the end. Make a right onto SICKLETOWN RD and go through a one way bridge/overpass and make an immediate left onto FIFTH AVE and take to the end. Make a right onto VAN WYCK RD and your first right onto PVT LOVETT CT. The 2^nd house on the left is my home #2, brown brick.

Ridgewood/Oradell/Paramus(20min)

Rockland County/Orange County:

1.New York State Thruway to Route 303 exit. Take route 303 south to Erie St. Make a right onto Erie St and take to the end. Make a Right onto Van Wyck Rd. The second left is Pvt. Lovett Ct. The second house on the left is #2, brown brick.

2.Palisades parkway south to exit 7 Townline Rd. Make a right onto Townline Rd and go to the end. Make a right onto Sickletown Rd. and con’t until you go under a oneway bridge, make an immediate left after the bridge onto Fifth Ave. and take to the end. Make a right onto Van Wyck Rd and your first Right onto Pvt. Lovett Ct. The 2^nd house on the left is my home #2, brown brick

3.Palisades Interstate Parkway North to exit 5N (Route 303 North Orangeburg). At the 4^th light, Erie St. you will make a left onto ERIE ST Take this to the end. Make a right onto VAN WYCK RD. The 2^nd left is PVT. LOVETT CT. The 2^nd house on the left is my home #2, brown brick

Westchester County:

Tappan Zee Bridge to exit 10 (Route 303). At the end of the exit ramp you will come to a light for the mall entrance---make a right at this light and you will come to another light which will place you onto Route 303. Make a right onto Route 303 south. Stay on Route 303 and pass a Toyota dealer on the right, the diner on the left. The next light is Erie St. (HSBC bank on right corner) make a right and take Erie St to the end. Make a right onto Van Wyck Rd and the second left is Lovett Ct. The 2^nd house on the left is my home #2, brown brick. From exit to the house approx 3-5miles
