My son had a very tight phrenulum (sp?) but it never needed "correction". If this is a condition that is "suspected" then is there truly a necessity to correct it immediately? My understanding is that this condition may interfere with breastfeeding and/or speech but neither was affected in our case. (although my son, a real character at 18, tells me it interferes with his kissing technique
). I believe it is a very simple procedure and can be done by a pediatrician...but I may be wrong.

Just my 2 cents.

Hello all,
I have a mom whose baby is suspected of having tongue tie and she is looking
for a referral to a good doctor for correction. Do you have anyone to
recommend, preferably in Dutchess or Putnam? The mom is located in
Dutchess.
Thank you.
Mindy
