birth. I do agree that Hudson Valley is a great place to have a baby, and there
are
wonderful midwives there, most of them my friends and former colleagues. At
Phelps, we
have the same number of midwives, but do a larger percentage of the hospital's
total
births, and we have the lowest cesarean rate in Westchester. We don't have tubs
in every
room yet, but I'm working on it! Northern Westchester Hopsital has one of the
highest
cesarean rates in the county, and one of the highest epidural rates too. No
doubt, Phelps
and Hudson Valley are the 2 most natural-birth friendly hopsitals.
