Asking for some advice - I'm working as a postpartum doula for a mom of
twins. She's showing some warning signs of postpartum depression,
maybe she was just tired and a little "off" while I was there, so I'll
give her a few more days. But my question is this - how do you
approach a mom with what you are observing as an outsider if she is
showing some definite signs and she doesn't realize it or doesn't want
to realize it? Do you talk to her first, maybe question the partner a
bit to see if he's seen any signs of her being depressed? I just don't
want her to feel like I'm judging her and have her jump down my throat
(she's not the friendliest woman on this planet - she doesn't seem to
want to connect very much with me or open up at all). Thanks!
